UPH’s Faculty of Law Moot Court team which consisted of Dwina Karina (Faculty of Law 2013), Rica Dharma (Faculty of Law 2014) and Rimba Arya Suryodipuro (Faculty of Law 2014) has emerged as the National Round Champion of the International Humanitarian Law Moot Court competition held in Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya, 20-22nd November 2015. In addition to the team’s accomplishment of securing the title of National Champion, UPH also achieved the Best Memorial Award. Moreover, the team’s oralists were able to attain the position among the top 10 best speakers of the competition. These remarkable achievements were inseparable from the team’s coach Miss Jamie Williams, whose invaluable assistance has significantly contributed to this honorable victory.
This year’s International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition marks the first decade of Indonesia’s moot court team participation in the Asia Pacific Rounds. Previously, UPH represented Indonesia in the Regional rounds in 2012. After the 2013 and 2014 UPH teams advanced to win the position of First Runner Up, UPH has once again won the Indonesian National Champion title and is honored to represent Indonesia in the Asia-Pacific Rounds of the 14th Red Cross International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Moot Court Competition on 9-13 of March 2016 in Hong Kong.
